Hi! 👋🏽 I’m Tiffany Teng.

I am a marketer, design researcher, and writer based in Brooklyn.

Born & raised in New Jersey, I have been lucky to call Myanmar, Taiwan, and the UK “home”. Traveling and connecting with people across cultures makes me a better thinker and problem solver.

I find purpose in understanding humans and transforming data into inspiring stories, delightful experiences, and business insights.

Starting my career at L’Oreal, I marketed products like Acqua di Gio fragrance and Rouge Ecstasy lipstick to the U.S. market. It was my childhood dream to work in a luxury brand in NYC.

A fellowship brought me to Myanmar to teach English at an eco-tourism vocational school.

I fell in love with the textiles there and started my ethical fashion brand, Yamin. I also led comms & research for non-governmental orgs in peacebuilding.

I moved to Taiwan to study Chinese intensively for six months in 2020.

Then, I earned my master’s in anthropology from Oxford University, focused on food and mobility.

Now, I’m back in New York. I’m currently a design researcher and strategist who has consulted on projects for the City of Long Beach, Coursera, and non-profits, and a product marketer for civic tech SaaS platforms. I was a content strategist at Coursera for several years.

What I can do for you:

• For early-stage founders: Sharpen your brand narrative, positioning, and GTM strategy so that users understand, get excited, adopt, and share

• For marketing leaders: Build content strategies for brands, such as producing customer stories and thought leadership, refine internal comms systems, and building editorial platforms

• For non-profit/development/government teams: Plug in as a researcher & strategist to design programs and services for deeper impact

I’m especially interested in applying tech and AI innovation to issues like education, the future of work, climate, transportation/mobility, and immigration.

Services: marketing and content strategy, design research, writing
